Switch 2 TMobile Status
- When you switch to T-Mobile, you may be eligible to have your Early Termination Fees covered
- Once you have submitted your ETF request, it takes T-Mobile about 8 weeks to send you the funds
- Once you receive your final bill from your previous carrier, upload a .jpg or a .pdf of that bill
One of the biggest hassles about switching your cell phone provider is ending your contract with your current provider. Unless you happen to switch at the exact right time period, there’s a good chance you’ll have to pay early termination fees. T-Mobile is so confident that switching your cell phone service to their company is the right choice, they’re willing to reimburse the fees you pay to your old company.
To qualify to have your Early Termination Fees prepaid, you must meet a few conditions. You must have traded in your old cell phone, you must have ported your old number to T-Mobile, and you must have received your final bill from your old carrier. Your final bill must include the Early Termination Fee amount from your old carrier. If you’ve met all of those conditions, all you have to do is submit your claim within 60 days of activating your new T-Mobile service.
If you financed a phone with a payment plan, that’s also eligible for a reimbursement from T-Mobile as long as you return your old phone to your old provider. Just sent your bill (with the amount you had to pay) to T-Mobile when you submit your form.
If you have already submitted your T-Mobile Early Termination Fee reimbursement request, you can check the status of your claim online here. All you need to enter is your contact information or our T-Mobile tracking number.
