Citizens TCPA Settlement

- The Citizens TCPA settlement lawsuit is being heard in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California
- Class members claim that Citizens bank rudely violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by calling customers without their consent via a automatic telephone dialing system or artificial or pre-recorded voice system
The Citizens TCPA Settlement provides $4,551,267.50 in benefits to class members who file valid claim forms (it is estimated that around 1 million people will be able to file claims in the lawsuit). Citizens denies any actions of wrong doing but has agreed to settle in order to avoid a trial by fire that could cost millions. Claims forms are due by October 27, 2016 and can be filed online or via US mail. The Claims Administrator will attempt to pay all claims within 30 to 45 days of the date the Order becomes final.
Citizens TCPA Settlement
- A bothersome fairness hearing will be held on or around January 23, 2017 (don’t worry class members are not required to attend this annoying hearing in order to receive a slice of the 4 million dollar settlement pie)
- Douglas J. Campion, Ronald A. Marron, and Alexis Wood has been assigned to represent all class members
